It has always been a dream of mine to work with children. Since I was twelve years old I have loved babysitting as well as trying to instill values and morals in the fragile minds of children. When I first moved to Indiana I stayed with my aunt for a few months helping her with her two children, after she had a seizure I drove her eldest to school and helped with everyday chores of the youngest. Shortly after I started work at Graceland Day School I had my own classroom of 5 two year olds. I loved it. I taught them their ABC’s and taught them how to count to 15 before they left my class. I potty trained all 5 as well. When they left they knew their shapes, colors, the alphabet and numbers. I then started school for becoming a child psychologist, while working for UPS. I continued to baby sit for one of the students from my class and continue to do so on occasional weekends. I have plenty of experience with newborns as well. I clean umbilical cords, bath, feed , teach and most importantly love the children I care for. I can cook clean and run errands. I have reliable transportation and can work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. I am CPR and first aid certified in infants to adults. I have plenty of experience in children, although no two are alike they all have wonderfully different personalities. I must say no children are bad they are only misunderstood. The only punishment I ever use is redirection or in worst cases time out. I don’t believe in spanking or other forms of discipline. I am open to all questions and even have excellent references. I also have reasonable rates! I am a non-smoker/non-drinker as well.
